We are pleased to announce a 2026 summer school webinar series on New Frontiers and Perspectives in Catalysis Research. This webinar series is jointly sponsored by the Energy and Fuels (ENFL) and Catalysis Science & Technology (CATL) divisions of ACS. The summer school will consist of a series of four one-hour lectures held over four weeks that will teach important concepts in this area of research. Lectures will be followed by an interactive Q&A session. This series will be an outstanding introduction for students new to the field. The webinars are particularly geared toward graduate students, but students and more senior researchers alike are welcome to attend. Attendance is free to division members.

The series will include lectures from the following speakers:

Date/Speaker/Topic (All webinars will be held at 2PM Eastern time)

- July 29th / Zach Ulissi (Meta Fundamental AI Research) / Expanding the Universal Model of Atoms to Solid/Electrolyte Interfaces with OC25

- August 5th / E. Charles Sykes (Tufts) / A Short History of Single-Atom Alloy Catalysts; Born in a Chilly Vacuum, Applied in a Fiery Reactor, and Understood in Silico

- August 12th / Stacey Zones (Chevron, retired) / Fundamentals of zeolite chemistry and then a discussion of their widespread and emerging applications as catalysts in the worlds of energy transformations, chemicals production and upgrading difficult molecules

- August 19th / Suljo Linic (Univ. Michigan) / Chemistry and Catalysis for Challenging Chemical Transformations and Sustainable Energy Systems
